Cacian and Colb, too, and Tailor Stately, and Silas Thorne, and everyone else. :)

To see life in a grain of sand,
To know the sweet undulation,
To experience sweet peace,
and infinite shelter,
this is my only aim.

To lark with Jetsun Mila
To laugh with christian sands,
To love with Hindu passion,
And join with Muslim hands.

To grasp at nothing, loving
Each instant of motion free;
And loving complex and simple,
This universe - our temple.

To join all life in one, bounteous song -
From heavenly range,
to live and hope without a care,
and to laugh and love without snare;

To live in a straight path
From any moment to here;

This is to clasp the divine
which only occurs under
the shelter
of love.

Such a beautiful sentiment of truth in so short a poem.
Printing out to add to a previous poem I have saved of yours.

In the spirit of love;

Ta ! (short for tarradiddle),

"whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things."
~phillipians 4:8

…and our words without love are all but a clanging cymbal.
Your poem incapsulates these truths beautifully.

Thank you all so, so much! I am gladdened and more grateful than I can say. . I've thought of how to reply because really I am rather speechless. You are all so wonderful :)
and you make the world a much more beautiful place.

I've come to find that simply choosing things that bring renewal is almost all we need to do. . that verse was so lovely Melanie, it kind of reminds me a lot of Whitman and Emerson and all of the good things they did. .

Tailor, that is one of the kindest things anyone has ever said to me on Lit-net, thank you so much, and I hope that you are always safe and well. Thanks for printing it out; I'm surprised and gladdened that you liked another enuogh to print it out. I went to yoour poetry page again - I'd been there before, but I was struck by how some of your old poetry reminds me of my poetry from that time - but with more eloquence.

Lykren - you are so awesome. I've always thought of you as a friend but I didn't want to over-step and you know; I've had so, so many amazing friends and they've affected my life, but most drift away; and that's just part of life, something I sort of have to accept! But I always tried to never let it make me sad - but you are such an intelligent, artistic person, and I am glad to know you. I think you may be as sensitive as I am :)

YesNo, thanks a lot for your comment, I'm very glad you liked it. . and, that was my favorite line, too. . I thought it flowed well with the previous sounds. .

Bar, your'e one of my very favorite people at Lit-net. . B-Mental said that to me once, and it meant so much. . I want you to know - your comments in the old days were always so warm-hearted and uplifting and kind - So I just want to say thank you very, very sincerely, and I hope you know what a positive impact you have on the forum, and so many lives. :-)

Cacian, you are very welcome. I'm so glad you liked it, and moved by your expression. You are such a good-natured, bright person, and it's so pleasant always to your posts!

There's so much more I could say but I won't go on and on. .

How about someone who's a little bit better with words :p . .

"You can never do a kindness too soon because you never know when it will be too late." ~ Emerson

Oh and, Melanie, I thought I'd share this song. . when I first heard it, it didn't strike me as much as some of the other works of his, but almost every single time I've heard it since, I've enjoyed it more. . Along with a few others of his, it seems to say so much more than words alone could. . Especially since we were talking about that subject earlier. Anyway, I've pretty much had it in my head since I saw your post with the beautiful verse. .

Oh and Tailor, I wanted to share a somewhat recent poem and get your take on it, if that's okay. . I'm glad you enjoyed this poem - anyway, I was wondering what you would think of this one, it's my favourite poem that I've written so far. . for context, Ramakrishna is a Hindu saint (I'm an interfaith product :p) and, it's dedicated to a cat. . I had a unique experience - I've never had a cat run along beside me, before. Anyway, so that's where this poem came from, and I'd love to know what you think.

thanks again you all. be strong like water! :wink5: hehe

The wind blows so fiercely on
this peaceful night;
beautiful wind
within the sun and clouds.
This little feline
has never known true winter-
a child of summer as I am,
with long and shaggy fur.
We play and dance,
retreat, advance,
she runs along with-
I've never had such a friend as her.
Maybe Ramakrishna's cat?
I'm certainly fine with that.
She seems to know all nature's hers -
she yawns, avers
it with her whiskers.
Now is she a memory?
Dream of a visionary?
Nope - she is real,
can hear and can feel.
Her padded feet
are heaven's seat,
and I'm her secret.

Hey, I started to reply to this, but just rambled on for pages so I turned it into a blog. . I've been doing that a lot lately, rambling for way too long, haha.

I ended up talking about Renbourn more than Jansch :p and then about the normal things I talk about.
