Regret

I came to you in a shape of exquisite beauty,
Youthful face of a faun peeked out from a foliage
of your flowering Persian garden fostered by the hellenic Sun.
I know there are some paths which lead us out from a light
into the dark night of the soul.

Interesting. The "dark night of the soul", "hellenic", "flowering Persian garden", "exquisite beauty" may need to be explained more because they are too familiar and yet unknown. I liked the alliteration between "faun" and "foliage".

The idea of going "out from a light into the dark" and the title make me think there is some distress, but I don't know what it is.

Welcome! I hope to read more of your poetry.

I second YesNo by saying "Hello and welcome", and I do agree that these few lines leave me with more questions than certainties. Which, as far as I'm concerned, is a very good thing. Your poem read a bit like something Rimbaud might have written, had be taken the fancy to write in English. I particularly liked your first line "I came to you in a shape of exquisite beauty", although (there has to be a quibble, otherwise it's not funny, lol) I'd have used "the shape' instead of "a shape".
Oh yes, and definitely do post some more!
