A few years back I read a book - it was written by a woman and it was based on her Grandmother's life. I don't think it was a biography, from memory it had been fictionalized and read more like a historical novel. The woman was born into poverty in New Mexico/Arizona ? in 1902 - I remember the year as that is when my own Grandmother was born. It followed the woman through her remarkable life and experiences in America's South West - I was talking about it to a friend the other day as she is writing her family'e life story and I just can't remember the title or the author, can anyone help ? I think it was published in the last five years.
