Hello Genevieve and welcome to the site! I grew up in New England and it will always be in my heart. I'm sure you will find plenty of Hugo fans here (and some anime lovers as well), but to be honest, it's a big bustling place, so if you want people to talk to you, the best thing to do is to just go to the forums and throw yourself into a conversation. It's great to have you with us. Enjoy the site! :seeya:

My username is also from Hunchback of Notre Dame, though honestly I prefer Gringoire.

What part of New England, if you don't mind me asking?

Yes! I noticed! I'm really fascinated by Claude Frollo (obviously, lol). I read the Hunchback of Notre Dame for Phoebus originally because I thought his character in the movie was so great, but I was disappointed to find out how gross and boring he was. Anyway, so I fell in love with the complexity Frollo's character and I think he's goofy as hell in the Disney movie, which I love. I pictured Gringoire looking like Miguel from the Road to El Dorado for some reason............. other than that I don't have much of an opinion on Gringoire, I'll have to read it again.

Haha, I lived there for a couple years. Mostly southern Maine, though.

Gringoire is sort of a useless scumbag. I like Frollo too.
