Who wrote down what he saw
which became something strange.
An elegant and well dressed young woman
walks across a room on impossible high heels
which accentuate her calves.
She is handcuffed and escorted by an older woman
also well dressed
who appears to be a jailor or warder.
In the room is a man sitting at a desk
he is fat faced and somewhat florid
like the warder he is expressionless.
Together the man and the older woman
release their prisoner from her handcuffs
and order her to strip naked
Her skin glows with health and vitality
her hair is fashionable and well arranged
and her body is firm without blemish.
It becomes clear that she is to be punished
as standing facing forward with legs apart
she is tied to a wooden structure.
The man wheels forward a machine
it spins round on a sprocket or wheel
controlled by the older woman.
With great care and delicacy
the man attaches a rod to the machine
which has a length of leather attached like a lash.
The machine begin to turn
the lash flicks out in the air
the young woman begins to whimper
And now it is moved closer
and we see the young woman being whipped
across her body by the machine
Controlled by the other woman
who watches without expression
as the red marks appear on the white flesh
The angle of strike is adjusted
so the whip strikes the breasts
and then the inner thighs.
When the punishment is completed
the young woman is released from her bonds
tears smear her face.
She turns and softly kisses
the lash of the whip
and the mouths of those who punished her.
