Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to the whole forum thing but since i've found myself horridly stuck in the middle of writing my english coursework, with the deadline looming closer each minute, i thought where better to seek guidance than from a literature forum site. It would be wonderful if any of you lovely people would give me a hand in offering any similarities contrasts between 'Life of Pi' and 'The Alchemist'. Also I am still in search of either a single poem or a collection of poems that I could incorperate into my critical comparison of the two novels - so ideally centered around existentialism, survival instinct, faith/religion or travel that would also be great!

I urge everyone to give there opinions, the more opinionated you are the better!

Thanks guys x

Have to say, if you haven't read the books yourself, you're going to be very limited in what you can write regardless of how many bullet points others offer. Also, this forum tends to frown on people looking to have work done for them rather than needing help filling in blanks (such as your request for suggestions for poems to look at, which is perfectly fine).

So start by reading the novels, and then you'll be able to ask specific questions about contrasts (if you even need to at that point) and the type of poems you think you'd like to use.
