firstly, do none of you have any appreciation for the dynamism and vigour of what i consider to be shakespeare's greatest comedy? the plot, though showing little regard for the bounds of time (although really, what play of his ever adhered to that?) breathes life into such wondrful, insightful characters and conveys wuch a sense of whimsy and fun. I think Malvolio is one of the greatest comedic roles ever written, and if any of you have the chance to pay him, seize it and don't let go. i have directed severeal productions of this play, both professional and amateur, and have played both olivia and maria. this play gives me so much joy, it is truly a work of genius.
