Is anyone using any apps to access the Forum?
I have used Forum Runner for couple of years now but recently started having problems.

I don't use it. I just made a button for my Ipad screen using the "what's new" link here at LitNet. It shows me all posts with minimal fuss.

I have never, and will never, own an iPad or equivalent device. I can't justify to myself owning something that the people who made it, kill themselves because of the conditions in the factories.
The 2010 suicides prompted 20 Chinese universities to compile an 83-page report on Foxconn, which they described as a "labour camp." Interviews of 1,800 Foxconn workers at 12 factories found evidence of illegal overtime and failure to report accidents. The report also criticized Foxconn's management style, which it called inhumane and abusive
Labor activists said to the media that the suicides occurred after numerous allegations of labor abuses were raised over a protracted period of time. Claims in the reports included excessive shifts, an overly fast assembly line, and a military-style discipline applied by management upon the employees.
"Geoffrey Crothall, from a Hong Kong labor rights organization, shared his belief that the Foxconn incidents were representative of a much larger issue with the Telegraph publication in May 2010:
'It is not just Foxconn, it is the whole factory system. Obviously the focus is now on Foxconn and every new death will be reported, but there are other suicides in other factories and the owners hush it up and pay the families quietly and no one will ever know about it.'"

I'm sorry, Scher, if this was in the wrong place; it was just something I knew little about, so I looked it up.

I sympathise with NikolaiI, it is very environmentally unfriendly. But I now think I know what a Forum Runner app is. Pompey Bum's explanation helped a lot, as I suppose the Whats New Tab is a sort of predefined app. I just never thought about it before!
I always go to my "subscribed threads" tab to see latest posts.

Interesting sideline there, depressing reality of tech-driven world... but back to the original question; personally Scher I don't trust a 3rd party app with my log in information here, I just stick to Chrome browser on my mobile which I also use on my laptop. Does the site look and act the same when you use Forum Runner? Why do you use an app in the first place?

On a smaller screen such as mobile phones, the apps are much more faster and convenient as all functions are easily accessible, without having to navigate the web pages.
Forum Runner is quite fast as well but recently I keep getting an error message so wondered if others have similar issues as well.

That app hasn't been updated since April 2013 and most recent reviews are pretty bad, but maybe you'd have some luck if you contact the developers directly about your issues. Or get a Note4 with a nice big screen and a good data package :)

How about making your own app for this site. Then code it for consoles like PlayStation 3 & 4?
