The scaffolds brace the buildings continuously.
The rain wet the braces, or braces naturally secrete water.
Because fluid moves the speck from the brace to the sidewalk.
The sidewalk is a type of scaffold, too.
The concrete feels porous when I touch its membrane of water.
The speck is mobile, born into moisture with each new arrival.
The speck is in my eye, suspended between cornea and eyelid.
But eyes secrete movement, or movement flows through eyes.
The light beyond my eyelids looks like rainwater in cracked asphalt.
I swab the speck from my eye, and the swab seems to keep me from falling into rainwater.
The speck hangs to the swab like a drowned ant.
The faucet secretes water, which moves the speck from the swab to somewhere.
I cannot stop walking under scaffolds.
The speck is inside somewhere, preparing.
The scaffolds brace the buildings continuously.
The weed-whackers set things in motion before they lay down concrete.
Their sweat and damp jeans make them glow like newborns.
I've been playing around with this for a while. Any thoughts?
