In the last few days I have noticed that internet links (Uniform resource locator - urls) have been "made invisible". They are no longer accessible as an exact internet address. Wikipedia has a page on Uniform resource locator, but I can no longer locate the address and make it a link, on this website, or any other. I am not referring here to an IP address, which is a set of numbers identifying your internet address.
Can anyone confirm that this is not just my idiosyncratic search engine or even my Operative System (Google, Mac, Ubuntu, Firefox etc.) but is general?
This is a major change and makes it impossible to give an url that can be understood: hence no link is provided in this post. The Wikipedia page address above is a good example as it is not a private website.
