This is a whatever day,
a day to jump off bridges,
Golden Gate, Brooklyn, Tower,
or simply from verse to chorus,
from work to blanket yawns;
a day to swim through puddles,
a day to drown in drops,
a day to dance down boredom alley.
Maybe I should take a selfie
with no head on.
Or listen to the “Train to Neverland”
in the Smash TV Remix version.
Or better still, maybe I should just
pour myself a glass of
Southern oblivion.
