Hurt and luminous, you cross
my border. White dust
inundates the air. What may I say
that won’t breed half-violence,
or cut this silence magnified?
The hunter sees animals in snow
where none are. I am living there,
in that unseen, unseeing space.

Evening’s strange and hungry slang
humiliates our tongues, forcing us
to slip beyond, asleep, to forge
an actual encounter. The dream itself
is glad to be present and I, as though
boiling over with proud emotion,
stream to a sudden stop. And are
you still pleased with every powerful breath?

Lamplight delays morning, the cold
fade-in. Its shadowed edges reach
through the glass and tint, barely,
the outer wild. Where does firm
recognition shuffle off to, that I
am so new-born, so unskilled, that
the sight of my grandfather in his
unhale age was not unlike this?
Since God often mumbles, bend close
and lend the earth your deep
amusement, your lasting freshness.

Thank you for reading.

Not uninteresting, but I am still preferring some your earlier work. Always good to see your poetry and look forward to seeing more!

In all honesty, it's quite qood, though. I already clicked post but had to edit because I didn't feel right leaving that unsaid. :)
