Hello,
I have a good deal of experience in the martial arts with asian cultures. I have learned many people enjoy the philosophies of martial artists around the world. We often come up with sun tzu; but have missed so much as westerners. There are very very valuable writings we are missing. sun tzu is chinese, but the japanese have a great deal of writings that some will consider better. I promise you brilliance and inspiration, and have a great desire to always see these philosophies shared. I always see sun tzu, but usually nothing more. Very droll, I must say. If you do nothing else in this world, please consider musashi as a great teacher and philosopher to apply something new to your life.
miyumoto musashi; the book of 5 rings.
the hakakure; yamamoto tsunanori (and a few other authors)
Saigo takamore (the real last samurai!)
Taira Shigesuke
The samurai philosophy should not be overlooked, as they found ways to apply their art to all things, which is exaclty what makes an artform an art to begin with! We can use these writings to give the next generation a fighting chance.
Could I be of any help?
