It was once said that "with strange aeons even death may die"1. This came to pass for a man and some, at least some, could live forever. But what about those who suffered too greatly? They went insane. What about those who lost the will to live? This man was one of those folk who lived in the future, and it was his abode. He had lived a long and full life, but unlike others he experienced no need for something else. Eternal life was his, but what if he had no use for it, he thought. He grabbed a knife, then he stopped. "No not yet," he thought, "no not at all yet." Then a thought gleamed, then shone, then eclipsed his state, one almost forgotten and in the periphery of his mind's eye. It was a remembrance of hope.
