Yours fooly seldom checks "Today's Birthdays" on the bottom of the NitLet's opening page, mainly because the screen names are ones I've never seen before and most likely will never see again. But I noticed them today, and there was one name with a glow around it -- yours!

Now, along with the Feast of St. Francis (and the anniversary of a preternaturally early Nor'east blizzard of 1987),we have another reason to mark October 4.

Happy Birthday, MANICHAEAN, and "mani" happy returns of the day!

Thank you all. Went out yesterday for a meal in China Town before the typhoon hits.
Finished up in a dimly lit, but very cosy bar drinking Gimlets with Plymouth gin.
Still life in the old fella yet.

Man I had hoped to impress you with a nice pickie of the place of manufacture of your favourite tipple, but unfortunately I can't because of this (http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?80169-Why-Can-t-I-Upload-Pictures-Anymore&p=1271290&viewfull=1#post1271290).

Thank you; Free, Hawkman & Gimissung (Lit Net Solicitors specialising in probate.)
You will be relieved to know that Typhoon No 18 has passed and that Mount Fuji can be seen clearly from the 32nd floor of the office.
I would post you a picture of it, (but unlike our IT savy associate) my excuse is that I'm just an old codger and don't know how to even start.

Surviving a typhoon-what a great birthday present! Glad you're safe, Manichaean.

Thanks gimissung, but now the next one is due on Monday. Going under the exotic name of "Vongfong," its packing a punch of 170mph winds and is classified under the Western system as a Category 5 Hurricane.

Better late the never I reckon, coming from your birthday neighbor (5th).
Head over to the Blokes thread and take part in my bountiful harvest.
I bet St. Francis would enjoy the libations, no question about Augustine!
