At our desks and the professor
says Huizinga's cane factory, be
the process om
shanti, glaze
word
to confection, clouds
of it to perfume
with a moment's burn, heap
lest they notice, the arid

Interesting return key usage!
I am going to be reading this for a long time because it is really ****ing good. The subtlety and word choice is just amazing. I had to look up 'shanti', but I knew it was indian through context clues so it did not impede the first reading at all.
Kind of reminds of Metric's On The Sly (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jdxY_a8rpk). Although maybe it's just the one line? Any excuse to listen to my love.
I can see your reasons for using Glaze and I am glad you did. ugh I want to talk about your word choice but I really want to hear it spoken first.
what else? first couple times I read this I was mostly thinking "What? What?" because it kind of has Newb Brilliance, you know? Hard to see at first but then your brain explodes from the potential

Thank you! And yeah, "The dirty sugar factory" from Metric is pretty in line with the poem.
