Allah the Exalted says in Holy Quran: “The month of Ramadhan, in which The Quran was descended as a great guidance for human, and as such manifest signs, in which there is detail of guidance and matters which differentiate between truth and false……………………..” (ch2:v186 partly)
The revelation of Holy Quran was started to come in Ramadhan and angel Jibrael would revise it in this month each year with Holy Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be on him). In the last year of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), it was revised twice.
Thus it is necessary for a believer to fasts in the month of Ramadhan and pay special attention to recite [at least finish one reading in Ramadhan], understand and try to practice the Holy Quran. This Book is granted to them for their spiritual, moral and physical progress. It is given to them for success in worldly life and in the Hereafter.
Ramadhan and Quran are the means to bring a believer nearer to Allah the Exalted.
Guidance from Holy Quran requires its reading, reflecting and practicing. Directives of Holy Quran are equipped with arguments so that better understanding is achieved for proper execution. This guidance comes with manifest signs. The message becomes easy to convey to others. It teaching differentiates between true and false with historic evidence and arguments and the one who truly practice it gets a superior character.
Allah the Exalted has promised to safeguard the Book forever. It is comprehensive as it mentions matters in details, it corrects mistakes in other religions, it completes what other religions lack.
The perfect Book was revealed to matching person – the perfect Holy Prophet (s.a.w.)
To bring about spiritual reform, believers need to offer Salaat regularly and reflect over Holy Quran which provides details of virtues and vices. Ramadhan provides good ground to achieve these ends.
It is the distinction of Holy Quran alone that Allah the Exalted has provided cure for every spiritual ailment in it.
Once Mao Tse-tung, the famous Chinese leader, was asked by a visiting neighboring minister how he was able to bring revolution. He told him why he asked him, he should go and observe the model of his Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and read Quran and practice it to get every success.
Holy Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be on him) brought an amazing spiritual reformation in his Sahabah / Companions who absorbed benefits from the company of their Master (s.a.w.) and submitted to Holy Quran. Their belief, morals, behavior conduct all changed to immaculate states.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says:
“It is the experience of hundreds of thousands of holy people that after following the Holy Qur’an Divine blessings descend on heart and one develops an amazing graft with Noble Lord. Lights and revelation of God the Exalted are revealed to their hearts and wisdom and points of knowledge are uttered by their mouths. They are granted a strong trust in Allah and they are granted an established certainty. And a delighted Divine love, which is nurtured by delight of Meeting, is placed in their hearts. If their beings were to be pounded in severe misfortunes and were wrung through tough clamps, their sap extracted would be nothing but Divine love.”

The reality is that as long as Muslims are not fully observant of what the Allah has taught in Holy Quran, they cannot get any success. Practicing the Holy Quran is the source of progress.
Ahmadiyya Khalifah reminds: Benefit of great treasure of Holy Quran should be sought in Ramadhan by believers. It can be done by its recitation, pondering over it. If any verses which were memorized earlier and now these are forgotten they should be memorized again. Practice the forgotten commandments too. May Allah enable us to do so.
