PEARL AND OTHER POEMS

Part of the Crimson Hexagon--

So--I've put together lots and lots of collections, but none that really work. This is my most recent attempt--germinal, material for much more. I have no consistent voice--it changes every time I write. The conceptual framework of the project is meant to allow room for several distinct voices / personae--this is the most coherent of the sub-sections.

I don't know if this is the idea that might get me traction into a longer collection or not. It's just a thing--open to feedback.

An enjoyable read. I love your manic, and ofttimes avant garde, voice. "RINGTONE" was probably my favorite.

It reminded me of WolfLarsen's writing. However, it looks like you have an ebook in the making. Now you need a cover. I would make it something simple, mostly white space with a design and then your name and the title of the book at the bottom third.

tailor stately--thanks! ringtone has a different feel than the rest...

yesno--well, i think it shares some things in common with larsen's poetry, though i'd say that they're doing work at different levels of composition--

tx for taking a look.

You're right about the comparison I made between you and Wolflarsen. There are many differences. His is more sexually oriented for one thing.

Would you consider this to be "avant-garde" poetry? If so, there is an avant-garde poetry contest open now that you might want to consider entering: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/showthread.php?79288-Avant-Garde-Poetry-Contest-2&p=1263754&viewfull=1#post1263754 What I like about these contests is that they motivate me to write something. They could be put in an ebook later.

If you win the contest, you get to judge the next one.
