Namaste swatiganu ! I suggest you have a go at 'Great Expectations' (Dickens), if u haven't yet. It's more panoramic in scope and grandeur than Copperfield and it does throb with resonance as much as DC did. 'The Count of Monte Cristo' is another classic you might want to check out. 'The picture of Dorian Gray' (Oscar Wilde), 'Pygmalion' (G.B.Shaw), 'Lord of the Flies' (Golding) are also worth a go. If u happen to be a science aficionado, H.G. Wells is da man (' The Time Machine, 'The Undying Fire' ).
Hoping it's raining well at ur region. It's july and our country is yet to drape itself wet.

'The Count of Monte Cristo' is another classic...
It's not an English Classic. Some great English classics by authors not mentioned yet:
Hardy 'Jude the Obscure' (or if it sounds too bleak try 'Under the Greenwood Tree')
Conrad 'Lord Jim'
George Eliot 'Middlemarch'
E.M. Forster 'Room with a View' (or 'Passage to India' if you want local flavour!)
Your original list is of classics written by English authors, so do you want to include American authors as well? I guess so if you accept 'Moby Dick' (!) If so, try Henry James 'Portrait of a Lady' as well. Note the 'The Count of Monte Cristo' is by a French author (Dumas) so it should not be in this thread!
