He is one of my favourite contemporary authors. I love his enveloping prose and the way he builds novels up, the deep reflections with which his ability to caricature is mixed . I don't know which of his novels is my favourite, but I would highlight the last five: 'The infatuations', 'Your face tomorrow', 'Black back of time', 'Tomorrow in the battle think on me' and 'A heart so white'. His short stories are also quite remarkable, the last compilation of which appeared in Spain a year ago. I don't know whether it has been translated into English. I have read superficially his works in English and I think that they are well translated. I suggest that you read the beginning of 'Your face tomorrow', I don't know if I can paste it here, so you may read it freely -the beginning- in Amazon.
