I was reading Fight Club the other day where Tyler Durden has a birthmark on his foot shaped like a dark red Australia with New Zealand next to it.
In the next book I read, Le Parfum de la dame en noir of Gaston Leroux, the narrator recognizes M. Robert Darzac by checking the sign of Australia (tache de naissance) that the real Darzac has on his right hand. Darzac has also a sign of Tasmania below Australia.
