Hi everyone,

I need to submit an assignment about Paul Auster's "Ghosts" part II in "The New York Trilogy".

In one of the questions I'm asked to write about what is unique about Auster's treatment of identity in the story, which I'm guessing is the various names of colours that denote the division of characters. If I'm guessing right, what is he trying to achieve by using that unique technique for presenting identity? Why did he choose to give them names of colours?

Thanks.
