begins with a crumpet
slathered with rarefied butter
then a short jaunt to work
with the sun-spilt beams
blipping off her Salon-tanned heels
A Candytuft Noon
quick bloom to purge
short stop at the lounge
albumin-powdered face emerges
to the corner deli with haste
grabbing a bleached bun
filled with American cheese
back down the achromatic sidewalks
to her ivory-tinted, office walls
A Primrose Evening
lava lamps in crimson glow
cherry her dapper cheeks
a few sips of Shiraz and
her purple-stained lips chirp
the erratic, quixotic refrains
of the woodland Nightingale
