Hi everyone! I'm looking for interpretations of Bukowski's poem "my fate";
"Like the fox
I run with the hunted
And if I'm not
The happiest man
On earth
I'm surely the
Luckiest man
alive"
Id like to know peoples interpretations of the poem as a whole, but specifically the line "I run with the hunted".
Thanks :)

Of course, what shall we look in this poem?
The man contrasted his fate with the Fox, and as we know the fox is a cunning animal and in other words, the life itself is cunning or it is somehow changeable, therefore and as I understood, the man could adapt himself to this cunning life and could match his luck.
Moreover, he assured to us this fact by his saying" And if I'm not" i.e. if he not taking into his account this manner of life, he will be not the luckiest man.

...
I'm surely the
Luckiest man
alive...
I take that as the point of the poem. Hunted, like the fox, maybe not the happiest man, but still "alive" and lucky for that.
