Remarkably, old wooden pegs can
maintain a strong grip

and keep all manner of laundry
hanging in dry, still autumn days.

My Hills Hoist remains still
like the steel woven cobweb it is.

I wish it would rain.
Maybe then I would feel better

about the idea of walking around
like a cardboard cutout.

I heard the color red attracts people
but I'm not sure if sandwich board vests are a goer.

Omogod. Mum said life is supposed to be Fab.
But I just can't manage that Spree right now.

I guess with no wind, no rain
and the lint tray blocked solid

I can expect some kind of flooding.
Maybe my floor will get a mop.

Soon the final rinse will pack up.
Other folk share their laundry here you see.

It's called suds return
with coffee and biscuits.

It won't be long before I just can't drain
and then I'll be stuck in a cycle of agitation.

My daughter brings bottles of softener,
Stain remover,
Anti-bacterial.

Pour some of that into your load Mum.
It'll do wonders for you.

What would she know?
Since she unloads her own laundry to me with each visit.

Soften a relationship
Remove the stain and germs of troubles.

Even drinking straight from the bottle
just doesn't seem to work.

But thankfully, old wooden pegs can
maintain a strong grip.

It looks like you worked at microbial field since you talked about germ and stain. Maybe it is a Gram Stain!

***** Soften a relationship
Remove the stain and germs of troubles.
Yes and indeed it will remove all parasites not to share or to be alive at a pure surrounding....
The poem generally contains good created shifting

Nice tying the first and last stanzas in this "cycle". I liked the couplet in the middle about being stuck in a "cycle of agitation".

Candle lit evening
And still wearing that dressing gown.

I have pondered
If being buried in it is an act of love.

Or perhaps it's a bare truth
Of of a working class kind,

Like popping pills with
non alcoholic wine.

It is funny but there's more comedy
To follow.

If you stay tuned to the tv
Ads tell you how to bonk me all night.

In the AM I'll make exciting school lunches for the kids.
But not before I take the dog for a jog,

shower, masturbate
exfoliate, mosturize,

make up
Syle my hair.

I fail.
Is that ok?

It's time to buy a new dressing gown.
Silk, sliding across my naked body.

No shower,
No cream,

No make up,
No styled hair.

But I'll probably still masturbate.
