Last year I sent a biography of Edmund Burke by Jesse Norman MP to my brother. My brother is interested in that sort of stuff, and after watching a YouTube video of Jesse Norman discussing Edmund Burke, I thought it would be a good book. I watched another video of Jesse Norman talking about Edmund Burke today. What interested me was that one of the other speakers said that unlike Socialists and Communists, the Conservatives had very little written philosophy. For example, they had no equivalent of The Communist Manifesto. Edmund Burke's writings were the closest they had. I suppose there is a fair bit of right-of-centre economic theory, but not much political theory.
