The day we met I knew we'd be together
Traveling down life's highway, hand in hand
We added a few members to our journey
It's the detours we take now that I can't stand

So here we go again, just like we used to
Traveling that old road once again
I've got a different view now through this windshield
I'm traveling loves lost highway
Till the end

As I look back at all the miles we have traveled
Ya know I'd given anything for you to stay
But when you told me that you no longer loved me
I realized there was nothing left to say

Now here we are out on this highway for the last time
And I struggle moving forward day by day
Yeah the road we're on now is very different
Because this road we're on is heading separate ways
