Shoot them at twenty
When loves blossom dries at the edges.
Kill them at thirty
When they think they have matured.
Disembowel them at forty
Chubby f uckers sat at the bar
Laughing too loud.
Hiding insecurities in denim clad
Twathood.
Put an axe in their head at fifty
Playing golf
In checked trousers
Screwing the P.A.
Murder these boys
Slowly.
Mercy killing at sixty
Save them from seventy.
They have forgotten their wife
And their P.A's birthday.
Shoot them in the wet patch
From their dripping tap.
Release them.
Let them free at eighty
They've suffered enough
Piss in their porridge
And reel them in with
"Same time next week.
Dad."

It seems depressing. The alliteration in "piss in their porridge" was nice. What's a PA?

if I may, I will enlighten you on JB's behalf. Depending on context a PA may either be a public address system or, as I suspect to be the case in this instance, a Personal Assistant, the delectable dolly-bird who remembers your wife's birthday for you and saves you the trouble of buying birthday gifts for your relatives by doing it for you. She will also be able, if asked, to remind you what you have bought for the various recipients so that you won't look blank when they thank you for the mug-tree or tea-towel etc. etc. that as a multi-millionaire you have lavished upon them. Of course, the PA, as your mistress, will have remembered her own birthday and bought herself a diamond necklace, whereas your wife will be lucky to get a new pair of trainers.
JB: Darkly cynical and probably true. Having buried both my parents I know where you're coming from.

Blimey, it's like Larkin on a bad day.
And that's saying something... :)

Got to say, this is great.
Maybe I am senile,
but it seems
set to music.

Uh, is everything alright there, Jerry? Your poems lately seem a bit dark. I seem to remember a time when you actually wrote about love. I do like this. I hope old age isn't this horrible though. Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
