The road to love is scary
It's slippery and dangerous
And too unknown to me
To save my heart from its thorns
I fear I've already gone too far
Further than I meant go
Further than you care to join me
Long past the point of no return
Rejection is a road I know
It's twists and turns I recognize
Like the precipice that waits
To swallow me at the bottom
This road I've traveled before
I could travel it again blindfolded
Which is probably for the better
There's nothing to see here anyway
