Vision

Anchovies low in the meadow beside
The Rubicon, unaware of crossings.
Awareness of light is not for rivers,
Unless it is Joan or Jerry.
Hawk turns across the sky, looking for a meal
Too high for tree rats to notice.
Mayan codices ruin the owl eyes,
And codices are not good eating.
