Sum up the lyrics of a song in a stilted or otherwise weird way. Others have to guess the song. You can post your own question even if you can't guess the previous song.
1. "Financially solvent but lonesome gentleman looking for female companionship re conversation at weekends."
(hint: it's an old song)
2. "Request for continued assistance, particularly in case of unlikely atmospheric natural disaster."
(hint: another oldie)
Hope this hasn't been done yet.

Haven't a clue on those two, but I like the game idea very much.

I like this game as well!
Guesses :
1."Money Can't Buy Me Love"
2. "Rescue Me"
Next, also both old:
"Mutual affection oft manifests itself in a peculiar and unprecendented form."
and
"You are cordially invited to join the assembled throng in order to allow felicitious events to rotate freely."

Nope. Both wrong.
Ooof, yours are tricky. No idea.
"Love is strange"? (I didn't know that was song, just googled "Love is strange" and a song came up.)

"Love is Strange" is correct.
I'll give you a hint about th'other one: it could remind you of Mardi Gras.

I don't know anything about Mardi Gras :(
Hints about mine:
#1 has a day of the week in the title
#2 is also the title of a movie

(1) Another guess: "Saturday Night is the Loneliest Night of the Week"
Perplexed over the second one. All I can come up with is "Night of the Comet" (which is a movie title, but doubt it's the title of a song.)
Hint for my second one-- originally composed by Shirley & Lee, revamped by Earl King, popularized by Jimi Hendrix. See if you can get it w/o the aid of the Google machine first.
PS -- This is still a good game, in spite of the foggy brain of this LitNutter.

My husband says "Let the good times roll".
"Saturday" is the correct day, but not the rest of it.

Aunty, remember that the summary sums up the lyrics, it's not just a paraphrase of the title.
Here's another one:
"Gentleman concedes that currency is eloquent but prefers to keep wearing casual garment."
