That's my name. I was born in England but am now a Canadian citizen. I have been married for 53 years. Unfortunately my wife has Alzheimer's Disease but is very easy to get along with.
I have been a bookworm all my life. Used to read the Biggles books, the William books and books about King Arthur and any books I could find about animals. I also read the Dr. Doolittle books and I loved "The Wind in the Willows." All this when I was a child. I am now reading the Shakespeare Made Easy series of books that have the original Shakespeare on the left page and a modern English translation on the opposite page. I like to read murder mysteries, especially ones that are in exotic locations or deal with unusual venues, such as dog shows, racetracks, etc.

Very sorry about your wife's condition, but it sounds like you're coping okay.

You may be familiar with them since you mentioned racetracks, but my father was a big fan of Dick Francis' mysteries.

Never heard of a dog show mystery, though.

Welcome, Lidasman. I'm sorry about your wife.

You might like the Susan Conant mysteries. She writes about a writer and her two Malamutes. Together they solve mysteries.
