Guarded
By potted plants
We’re inside
Or out
Socks are on
All day long
Coffee stains and tea spoons
Two packets of sugar
A half for me
Books and unfinished novels
Photos and notes
Pinned to the walls
Dreams reached
And to be
A home
For you and me.
