Hello i have had what i believe to be a rare first edition of Gone With the Wind but it does not have a Print Date or a Copyright date anywhere in the book and it also has a blue hard cover. Do i have a first edition? or is it the original Manuscript? It has two stories that differ widely from the common versions often found in stores or at antique parlours.
Please reply via email or private message if you have any information to offer.
Thank you.

You won't have the original manuscript, because that's in a library in Connecticut: http://flavorwire.com/166380/the-original-manuscript-of-gone-with-the-wind-rediscovered/
It won't be a first edition either, because that would have publisher's details.
My guess is that you have a bootleg copy, of quite a number were printed.

Then you should simply assume that it was a special gift edition that Margaret Mithell had printed for a few friends.
