My name's Joel, and I hail as an English student from the University of Liverpool.

Although once fortified by a medley of self-assured beliefs about literature and my relation to it, sloppy-mindedness and a burgeoning sense of apathy conspired to de-robe me of my cohesive literary philosophy. I look therefore to define myself, and my belief-system, in response to what others on here have to say.

I've stalked this forum periodically for quite some time, and find the level of discussion to often bestow a wealth of knowledge and appreciation unto me, and so look forward to getting involved in all this.

Tah.

Welcome to the LitNet. But you aren't coaxing us into doing something illegal , are you?

Nah, just comparing protracted literary discussions to opiate use in terms of addictiveness.

You might find that the LitNet is a hard habit to kick!

Hope you enjoy yourself here. Best of luck
