an emotive chord that did bine
her, fragile, searching vine
to your dark, fibrous sinews
Her, leafing-strands clung to romance
The strings of a deep, longing heart,
the nimble, delicate strings,
were threaded into tight knots


In each fiber was sealed a yearning
to bond all of her nubile desires
with your supple, twisting limbs;
flowering, deep, sensual fantasies,
but engrafted, surreal twigs,
watered by your seductive kisses
warmed by the sweaty aroma of your petals


Doting chaperons granted not a share;
their fertilizing nurture cast aside, and
their, seasoned advice excluded
In a shallow, rocky soil,
a quick growth-spurt ensued;
an early-Spring nuptial commenced


Two branches with frothing leaves yoked
Then, suddenly, heaven's spout dried up,
and cooling winds tossed their fragile stems
Two blooms wilted on their premature vines;
Love's, youthful bonds were severed, and
Summer's, luscious fruit became a piped dream
