From the recent addition into my life of audio and digital books after four decades of love for print, I can truly say that my reading experiences have changed. While I can devour hours of audio while I drive and read many things in the public domain with the tap of a finger, I still use my library to keep myself in books. I download to my different devices and sometimes have the print version to consult at the same time for place value (feeling the heft of the book and my bookmark's place) to give me a sense of where I am in the story. I also use the print version to reference names and spellings of proper nouns and to see the paragraph structure and the pacing of the sentences and paragraphs and chapters. These are the ways that I practice my bibliophilic rites. How do you mesh the world of reading with modern life?
