My wife was teased as she had Shirley's curls as a young kid.

Shirley did well though to shake off the fame and make a new career.

I wrote a blog piece the other day, lamenting her death.

Compared to the losers, one-hit wonders and those seeking their 15 minutes of fame, she stood like a beacon of how to grow up successful, then carry it on in a different life.

Outstanding woman, sadly missed.
