The truth I speak hides
Behind the stare
Of my baffled eyes;
Inside my ears
That capture idle words
And gossips;
At the entrance of my nostrils
Mimicking the scent
Of wild jasmines;
Around my lips
As the pale shade
Of bold red;
At the back of my throat
Gnawing leftovers
And scratching sticky fluids;
On my lifeless shoulders
Tired of weightlessness
And the absence of arms;
On my dark elbows
Dancing ballet
But I cannot see;
In my hands I clench
So my fists can lie
That it is a marble;
On my covered skin
Pretending as a rash
Beneath my smooth hair;
Underneath my bosoms
Waiting for milk drops
And fermentation;
In my sewn navel
Measuring its depth
For the air to settle;
I cannot go beyond
My locked banded waist
Where my truth awaits.
