A.K. Ardat is an academic with a PhD in stylistics and twentieth-century American and British literature. He graduated from Miami University in 1978; taught for thirty-four years in the Department of English at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and has articles published in America, Britain, and the Middle East. He publishes short fiction in both Arabic and English and has translated Wayne C. Booth’s Rhetoric of Fiction into Arabic. He’s married and has a son and a daughter. He retired in 2012 and lives in Lebanon for the time being.
