Hoffman died February 2, presumably of a drug overdose.

I feel his loss keenly. He was in so many good movies, State and Main, Boogie Nights, The Big Lebowski, Happiness, Magnolia, Almost Famous, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Capote, Jack Goes Boating, Doubt, Synechdoche, New York, The Master, the second Hunger Games. Well, the list goes on. He will be missed.

Damn drugs! Such a cruel mistress! It makes you shake into stupor and die.

I find it unfair to struggling actors who need breaks.

I would say that's that, mattress man.

It's very sad. Died with the needle still in his arm in his underwear in his Soho apartment alone. So much talent...

How sad, he was one of my favourite actors.

A terrible way to go, whether or not one is a talented actor...
