I was cleaning out the pantry and I realized most, if not all, of my spices are expired and not by only months but by years. The earliest expired March 27, 2007.
You guys think it's still good?

I don't know if spices go bad as such, but I'm sure they lose potency over time. Don't replace them all, though; if you didn't use them for years, no point buying new ones to not use for years. I would say* replace anything you want to use fresh when you want to use it, and if fresh doesn't matter, try it before you use it to see if it's good enough.

I think with spices normally they can last for a long time but they may not retain their fresheness as when they were first prepared.
the best thing to do is to try/taste them no harm done.

I rarely look at the expiration dates. Probably I should, at least prior to buying it.

We need a bulk spice store around here, that would help.
I tossed my spices out and I'll buy fresh when/if there ever comes a necessity.
