The story itself is a tragedy, an ambitious hero met his doom by his growing guilt and confidence. Although, both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, were able to accomplish their goals.. both died tragically as how they did onto Duncan and their loyal friend(s). Shakespeare did a great job towards the end, re-creating the hero image Macbeth once held begining of the play.
