As the morning fog rises
you look and cannot find
the satisfied craving that was
in the bones of it all.
Night is fragile as well
and all the curled petals
begin to fill with dew,
dreams unexplored,
without destiny.

Nice, Lykren. What do you mean by "in the bones of it all"? Is "it" the morning fog? does morning fog have bones? Is "bones' here used to mean foundation or gist or essence? If it is, the right idiom is "bone" as in "bone of contention."

"It" in L4 does not refer to the fog. Actually, "it" doesn't refer to anything that is named in the poem.

so, it can be a broiled chicken that can satisfy craving. I don't think a poem should make a reader guess. There are difficult riddles for that. It can imply or give hints or offer many possibilities that are connected to the entire poem.
