I'm looking to get into some of his work, any suggestions on works to start with?

That's the only thing I've read. Obviously his most famous poem, so if you haven't already, then read that I guess.

so far i like 'Manhattan Thirties Flash,' 'Sunflower Sutra,' and 'In death, cannot reach what is most near.'


I am halfway through Howl at the moment, but it seems vulgar for the sake of being vulgar at times.

Maybe but surely that is understandable in the context of the poem. Perhaps?

I hope you'll come around to Howl at some point. Try "A Supermarket in California," for something shorter, different, but also quite enjoyable.
