Hey everyone (:

I am new to this forum and I don't really know if this belongs here or if anyone is even able to help me with this, but I thought I would give it a try.

I am from Germany, but I usually read books in English. So for Christmas I asked for „The Once And Future King“ by T.H. White as people on the internert were saying it is worth the read. My mom ordered it at a huge and well known German online store which said that they had it on stock, which they actually had not. They then wrote an email saying that it would be printed just for me. The book just arrived today and I just don't know what to think about it honstely. It has a very strange format, there is no synopsis on the back of it, it has no page numbers, the chapters are randomly starting and ending with no order whatsoever and the whole book looks rather like a script than a book. Besides that the pages are not really holding together that well. I guess I am going to send it back, even though it would be funny to just keep it because it looks so strange (in my opinion at least).

So now I want to order the book again (somehwhere else of course) but there are so many different "versions" of it and I just do not know which one is the right one to buy. Maybe some of you already read it and know which one to order?
I would not even mind ordering it from abroad.

I would have included some picutes, but as I am new to the forum I am not allowed to ^-^
If people are curios I could post them later I guess.

I wish you all a great day and thanks in advance! (:

Well, I guess they tried anyway. Is there anyway you can order the book from Amazon? I know there's a UK version of Amazon in England but I dont if they are a presence another countries as well.

That's all I have to offer, at any rate. I hope you are able to find a copy. If you cannot, let me know. I'd be glad to get one for you and send it to you. I loved it when I read it, which was admittedly a number of years ago now.

It is certainly listed in www.amazon.co.uk.

Thanks for your answers!
I found a copy at a different shop. There are just so many different covers out there, it confused me a little!
But I just ordered one, so I guess: case closed.

And thank you for your offer of sending it to me. If this turns out to be such a disaster as the last one I will come back to that! (:

Sounds like you bought from a bad print-on-demand shop. Even if you can't order from Amazon, you can use that to see what physical copies should look like. It's a very common and popular book, so you shouldn't have trouble finding a "real" one.
