****The character of Macbeth was not a blood thirsty one at all. His madness was amplified by the supernatural occurences around him and through Lady Macbeth. When you first meet Macbeth he is returning from a battle and he runs into witches that tell him taht he is going o be king. He probably would have thought less of it if it weren't for his wife. Lady Macbeth is the strong one beginning while Macbeth is weak and does what she asks of him. Then towards the end of the play the situation of both switches and Macbeth becomes the strong while Lady Macbeth, after realizing what they have done, becomes the weak. So therefore it is wrong to say that Macbeth is an "evil person who will do anything to get what he wants." He is clearly jsut a product of his own madness put in him by Lady Macbeth and the weird sisters.****
