A clouded eye
looks on the ocean
wavering

alternately
bright and dim

the sun
admits no shadows
but you

on this day
we walk
under darkness

light also
is this hand
this mouth

planting its work
at my feet
beneath which

this earth
will never move

never listen

never know

I am not sure I understand this piece.
