I am a new member. I am an historian who has studied the bible extensively, as well has studied history, geology, anthropology, mineralogy, astronomy, bible history, and so on and on... I do not read novels, I can entertain myself. I read to learn. I have written many books in the past, and self published them. Of course they were all related to history and other subjects, not the Bible. I have now written one bibical article, which is described below.
I sought the answers in the bible from early youth, specifically around age 9 years old. It was kind of baffling to me back then, so I asked my grandfather how to pray. Well, he looked down upon this young man who wanted to speake with te Creator of the Universe, and carefully chose his words. So following his answers I began to pray. So the first thing I asked for was the wisdom of Soloman. Did GOD give me that wisdom? Yes and no. HE gave me wisdom, only the wisdom that was necessary for my life, after all I was not destined to be the King of Israel...
You see, if you pray and are sincere, HE will answer you. Perhaps not the exact answer you desire, but HE will answer your prayer.
So from that time period I have sought the answers found in the bible, and have related them to historical events. I wanted to see if what the bible said actually was true. I found it to be infallible. I have read all kinds of religious books, including Josephus and the Koran. I can discuss anything.
I have now completed the Book of Genesis. I took each verse of that Book in the Bible, and kept that verse intact, then just below that verse, in blue text, began to explain what that verse was saying or pertaining to, and if there was any unknowns in it, began to explain the unknowns. I have an extensive historical library on all subjects.
For example, in the Book of Genesis, in one place, GOD tells us that the land began to divide, from the giant continent into other small continents. So that answers the question of whether or not man came into North America across a land bridge. If man was on the continent that later became North America, well he was already there. History relates many peoples that lived here in America durng ancient times. I am not discounting that some people might have traveled to America, from Asia, either across a land bridge or by sailing vessels. Where GOD speaks, I speak, where GOD is silent, I try to remain silent, although here and there I discourse regarding something that happened right there and then that is alluded to in the verse.
You will actually need to receive my free copy of the Book of Genesis, and it will open up your eyes to what happened in pre-diluvial times. That would be the times before the Flood of Noah. Did that flood really happen? Yes it did, and I have found relics of pre-diluvial creation. Others have noticed that the Flood of Noah happened, and I can discuss their books as well.
I used to be a National Park Ranger with the National Park System, under the Department of the Interior. I was a room mate of Edward Abbey, the famous environmental author who is since deceased. I used to lecture on Geology in the Park visitor sessions. Of course I did not spend my entire life in that system, but moved on with my life into other fields. I am a jack of all trades, and master of every trade I undertook.
So if anyone wants to read the Book of Genesis, and see where and how everything was created, and how it relates to geology and other subjects, merely ask and I will email you a copy. I believe you will find it very enlightening. I have no devious intentions, nor am I trying to make money off of the knowledge that was given to me in my searches. I believe I should share what I have learned.
Do I believe that man has experienced Near Death Experiences? Yes I do. In fact, even the Apostle Paul encountered two men who had a Near Death Experience, and Paul said he did not understand it, so he would remain silent on the subject. I have read all of Edward Caycee's books as well. Do I believe Atlantis existed? Yes I do.
Evolution does exist, but only from like kind to like kind, just as GOD said in each verse, and only within a family of the particular species, and evolution does not go beyond that, from species to species. For example, man was created as man, from the red soil of the earth, just as GOD said, and man was not derived from animals such as apes or monkeys. That is why there is NOT ONE fossil, ever found, that demostrates or proves that somethng will evolve from one kind into another kind. NONE! In other words, there is NO MISSING LINK that has ever been found to prove that man descended by evolution from other created species.
Incidently the name Adam means red earth. In my book I explain the unknown words, what those words mean. You will be astounded to see that various names mean something that happened to that person. I even explain where the Asteroids came from. I studied Astronomy also, and built my own astronomical telescope as a child and searched the sky. In the Old Testament we are told that the Arm of the Lord slung a giant rock, into the world where Satan dwelled, and broke it into many pieces. Jesus, the Son of GOD, has many titles, and this is one of his many titles.
I took part in the Operation Moonwatch which was fostered by the Smithsonian Institute, during the advent of the first Sputnik and I placed Sputnik I into a recise studied orbit sighting location, just below the double binary star Sirius one evening. We had tables set up, with elbow telescopes on each table, watching the the heavens in the late evening sky, with telegraph keys on each table, each key connected to the Smithsonian radio, which was going "beep, beep, beep" in time with each second. When I viewed Sputnik I that evening, I pused my telegraph key, thus logging in my view into the Smithsonian radio, then immediately marked the Sputnik I positon on my sky chart, handed it in to the supervisor. That is how America was caught with its "pants down" during the first Sputnik I orbit. You see, no one had any experience with tracking an orbiting satellite and this is how we did it in October 1957. You see, this was done at many universities that October 1957, and all data went back to the Smithsonian Institute, where the data was tablulated, and from those many sightings, the precise orbit, its trajectory, its speed, was determined, thus creating the method of tracking it when Sputnik II was lifted up into orbet later on...
Now I do not believe that everyone will entertain my beliefs, and I would like to hear others opinions regardings some part of the Book of Genesis. I love discourse, as I love to learn from the discourse as well.
