Guys I really need help writing my term paper. PLEASE.

Hello :) I hope you guys are doing great. I'm new here (as my posts count obviously indicates :p). I'm a Master's student, majoring in English Literature and I really can't figure out what my term paper should be about.

We were asked to look for what scholars think needs more study and develop our own paper on the topic. I have too much on my mind, it has been a crazy year and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any ideas? Anyone?

Wouldn't your professor would be the best person to go to for ideas? He'll be grading it after all.

Psychogeography and it's applications for fiction. Take a look at Iain Sinclair, W G Sebald, J G Ballard and see if they have anything in common. For bonus points you could look at earlier poets - Wordsworth, Coleridge & Clare who featured landscapes they'd explored in their works. You could also compare it with travel writing - Palin etc too.

The British Poetry revival also needs work - the works of Mottram, Nutall, Allen Fisher & Roy Fuller could do with exploration. Take a look at Poetry wars by Peter Barry to start with.

In addition manifestos & poetry - we have had the Imagist manifesto, Eliot's modernism, Olsen's essay on projective verse amongst others. How did they manifest themselves in the poet's work, and perhaps more importantly others' work? You'd probably need to pick one or two manifestoes and work from them.

Failing that, Speyside single malts could always do with more study.
